2HR Aquarist APT Fix | 200ml

Product Description

2HR Aquarist APT Fix 200ml is a specialized algae treatment designed for freshwater planted aquariums. It is particularly useful for controlling stubborn algae such as Black Beard Algae (BBA), hair algae, string algae, fuzz algae, and other filamentous algae.

APT Fix is formulated for targeted spot treatment, allowing aquarists to apply the product directly to algae-covered areas on hardscape, aquarium equipment, tubing, and established plant leaves. This concentrated application helps target unwanted algae without requiring the entire aquarium to be treated at a high concentration.

The product contains a 3% proprietary epoxy-aldehyde formulation and is supplied in a 200ml bottle with an attached dosing pipette, making precise application easier.

APT Fix is an excellent choice for planted aquarium keepers dealing with persistent algae growth and looking for a convenient, targeted algae-control solution.

How to Use

Spot Treatment

1. Temporarily pause the aquarium filter.
2. Use the supplied pipette to measure the required amount.
3. Apply APT Fix directly onto the affected algae.
4. Keep the treatment concentrated on the algae-covered area.
5. Restart the filter after the treatment period.
6. Allow the treated algae time to break down naturally.

Recommended Dosage

The recommended spot-treatment limit is up to 1ml per 10 litres of aquarium water every 24 hours.

For larger treatment areas, follow the manufacturer's specific water-change procedure rather than exceeding the recommended dosage without the appropriate water change.

Treated algae does not disappear instantly. Dead or weakened algae may take several days to naturally decompose and can then be manually removed during aquarium maintenance.

Important Note

• Do not apply directly onto fish, shrimp or other aquarium livestock.
• Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
• Avoid direct treatment on delicate mosses and sensitive plants.
• Weak or unhealthy plants may be more sensitive to direct treatment.
• Maintain adequate oxygenation and water circulation.
• Do not expect algae to disappear immediately after treatment.
• Follow the product label for the latest dosage and safety instructions.
• Keep out of reach of children.
