Bio media is where the invisible work happens — beneficial bacteria colonise ceramic rings, bio balls and sintered glass to convert toxic ammonia into harmless nitrate. We stock 37 media options including ceramic rings, bio balls and high-surface-area premium media.

More surface area means more bacteria and a more stable tank. Rinse new media, never wash it in tap water once mature (chlorine kills the colony), and replace only a portion at a time. Fits every filter type we sell.
